I must mention two local festivals for booklovers.
One is the Yarra Plenty Regional Library's Fourth Annual Book Festival--Lots of interesting events to warm your heart over July. I will be at the Watsonia branch together with publisher Paul Higgs to discuss the pros and cons of e-books on 17 July. Come and have your say. www.yprl.vic.gov.au
The other event is the New Voices Festival, on 28th July. This is an annual event run by Meera and her energetic team from the Eltham Bookshop, which incidentally, won the title Bookseller of the Year, an award by the Australian Booksellers' Association.
